State Museum of Indiana Cultural and natural history of Indiana, including Foucault Pendulum, costume gallery, Indiana art, sports, Freetown Village and more. 202 N. Alabama St. (317) 232-1637.
Indianapolis Museum of Art The museum is situated on a 152-acre estate donated by the late Mr. and Mrs. J. L. Lilly. A sculptured garden, botanical gardens, greenhouses, a wildlife refuge and a restaurant are located on the grounds along with the main exhibition buildings. 1200 W. 38th St. (317) 923-1331
Indianapolis Artsgarden Owned and operated by the Arts Council of Indianapolis, this unique $12 million structure rises seven stories from street level and holds up to 600 people. All kinds of music, dance, theater performances and exhibitions take place throughout the Artsgarden and are free and open to the public. Indiana Historical Society These Indiana treasures are housed at the Indiana Historical Society's 165,000-square-foot, four-story building in downtown Indianapolis. Circle Centre Indianapolis Soldiers Monument, Circle Centre Mall, Shops, vendors, arts, crafts, carriage rides, great meals all within downtown Indy. 201 S. Capitol Ave. (317) 237-5206.
Indiana World War Memorial The memorial pays homage to the men killed during World War I, World War II, Korean and Vietnam War. There is a military museum with weapons, uniforms, flags and other collections. 431 N. Meridian St. (317) 232-7615
State Capitol Tour Tour the beautifully renovated Indiana Statehouse for architectural and political education. Corner of Capitol Ave. & Washington St. (317) 233-5293
Scottish Rite Cathedral An impressive Gothic structure containing beautiful stained glass windows, magnificent carved woodwork, a 7,000 pipe organ and a large 54 bell carillon. Erected in 1929 and described by the International Association of Architects as one of the 10 most beautiful buildings in the world. 650 N. Meridian St. (317) 262-3100.
Medal of Honor Memorial The only memorial designed to honor recipients of the nation’s highest military honor is open in downtown Indianapolis. The memorial honors 3,432 Medal of Honor recipients, which is awarded by Congress for military valor. The one-acre memorial is located on the north side of the downtown Central Canal in White River State Park
Crown Hill Cemetery The cemetery is the country’s third largest and home to the graves of President Benjamin Harrison, John Dillinger, hundreds of Civil War veterans and 14 generals. Take a self-guided tour and enjoy spectacular views. 700 W. 38th St. (317) 925-8231.

Angel Mounds Prehistoric Indian settlements on the Ohio River. The site includes reconstructed houses, round houses, a temple and a stockade wall. Open March through December. 8215 Pollack Ave., Evansville. (812) 853-3956 
New Harmony Labyrinth Wind your way through a European hedge-maze. Located on Main Street, it is only a ten minute walk south from the center of New Harmony. (812) 682-4482.

The Graham Cheese Co The family-owned business welcomes visitors to watch the entire process from milk to cheese and after the tour, free samples are offered. Hwy 57 N, outside of Elnora. (812) 692-5237.
Red Wolf Sanctuary 23-acre wildlife sanctuary near Dillsboro, is home to red and gray wolves, coyotes, a mountain lion and foxes. The sanctuary takes in sick and injured wildlife from all over the country. Contact to arrange a tour. (812) 667-5303.
Grassyfork Fisheries The largest goldfish hatchery in the world with around twenty million goldfish. Tanks containing a half-million goldfish allow visitors to view several different exotic species. 2902 E. Morgan St. (317) 342-4127
