Canal Family Fest: 4:30 p.m. to 9 p.m. Downtown Canal Walk, behind the Indiana State Museum, 650 W. Washington St. Featuring the Blue Monkey circus sideshow, music by the Polka Boys and Los Urbanos, a petting zoo, face painting and half-price paddle boat rides. Greenwood -- Independence Park will host an evening of music, fun and fireworks July 4, including clowns, kids' games and concessions. Brad Magness & the Flying Buffalo Band will perform from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. and visitors are invited to bring picnics. Admission is $1 per person and children 5 and under are free.
